DESCRIPTION:Auke de Boer\, organist from Dokkum in the Netherlands\, prese
 nts a sonorous programme by Johann Sebastian Bach\, Viennese pieces with r
 eminiscences of the military such as "Adieu mein kleiner Gardeoffizier" an
 d the Radetzky March\, as well as "Geschichten aus dem Wienerwald" and Adv
 ent songs and the wonderful ragtime "Cake Walk" to go with every Advent bi
 scuit. As always in 2025\, the concert ends with the Steigerlied\, which a
 lso sets the mood for the mountain parade.\nThe guest concert will be perf
 ormed by the organist of St Martin's Church in Dokkum and St Vitus Church 
 in Stiens\, who has played and composed all over the world. He has given c
 oncerts in America and Japan and wrote the music for the automatic chimes 
 in Nagasaki. He was awarded the City and University of Groningen Medal of 
 Honour for his carillon artistry for the city and the University of Gronin
 gen.
