 he European Capital of Culture Chemnitz 2025\, the PURPLE PATH project tea
 m invites you to take an exclusive tour along the art and sculpture trail.
  With the works of around 60 international and regional artists\, a unique
  exhibition of contemporary art in public spaces is being created between 
 Chemnitz and the 38 municipalities of the Capital of Culture region.\nBehi
 nd the foil of the installed artworks\, an unknown history of the region i
 s formulated\, a narrative of mining and industry\, exploitation and profi
 t\, marginalisation and solidarity\, as well as a history of precarity and
  innovation that continues to this day. The artworks can be found on indus
 trial wasteland\, at railway stations\, on riverbanks or in the still wate
 rs of a millrace. They correspond with farm and textile museums\, connect 
 with castles and old churches\, their organs and their art. Sometimes they
  also take place in illustrious nooks and crannies of UNESCO-protected old
  towns\, which become context providers and polyphonic narrators of the hi
 story mentioned.The project team cordially invites you to celebrate the fi
 nale of the Capital of Culture with a trip together. During the journey\, 
 you will gain in-depth insights into the backgrounds and contexts of selec
 ted works. The bus tour will take you from station to station\, starting a
 nd finishing in Chemnitz. Please allow sufficient time and catering.\nTota
