DESCRIPTION:Exhibition of innovative design and craft ideas\nCan dyes for 
 textiles be developed from algae? Can lampshades be made from rushes? Thes
 e are the kinds of questions that the MADE IN platform brings together. It
  combines cultural heritage\, design studio\, research laboratory and work
 shop - with the aim of making a sustainable circular economy the norm in s
 ociety. Craftspeople\, designers and researchers explore the limits of dif
 ferent materials and their processing together. They experiment with funct
 ionality and aesthetics\, explore possibilities and develop new ways of de
 signing. Co-financed by the European Union\, a sustainable transfer of kno
 wledge between traditional craftsmanship and contemporary production was i
 nitiated - and realised in concrete collaborations. The exhibition in the 
 Siebenschlehener Pochwerk shows the results of this cross-border collabora
 tion\, which has been taking place in Slovenia\, Croatia\, Serbia\, Bosnia
  and Herzegovina\, Portugal and Germany since 2023 - and has been continuo
 usly developing ever since.\nSupported by Makers\, Business & Arts\, a mai
 n project of the European Capital of Culture Chemnitz 2025 and in collabor
 ation with the Slovenian Cultural Information Centre Berlin - SKICA Berlin
